    MASC and NCAA will hold Joint Meeting with Joe Main
    NCAA, in conjunction with MASC, has confirmed a meeting with Joe Main, Assistant Secretary of MSHA, for Tuesday, November 30, 2010 to discuss issues and concerns to the mining and aggregate industry. We will be meeting jointly with the NC Aggregates Assoc. The meeting will be held in Charlotte at the Hilton Charlotte University Place (close to UNC-Charlotte campus). The meeting will be from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. There is no charge for this meeting.

    Please contact the MASC or NCAA if you would like to attend.

    We will provide more information about the meeting as we get closer to November 30, 2010. Please mark your calendars.

    DATE CHANGE...For the 2011 MASC Workshop
    The Mining Association of South Carolina (MASC) will launch its fifth annual workshop April 18-20, 2011, and you are invited to participate. The dates for the 2011 MASC Workshop were changed to April 18-20, 2011 due to the Con/Agg Expo.

    The MASC Annual Workshop has enjoyed a growing success over the years mainly due to your tremendous level of support and our primary goal to provide more and better quality time for the suppliers to mix with a larger number of the producers. We appreciate the support your company has been making to the mining industry in South Carolina. And again, we hope you will seriously consider being a part of this unique upcoming event. We are confident it is the right forum for you to build on your relationships with the South Carolina mining community, and to explore for additional business opportunities.

    Make Plans to Attend the 2010 MASC Holiday Dinner
    The Mining Association of South Carolina is excited to announce that it will be holding its annual Holiday Dinner on Friday, December 3, 2010. The dinner will be held at the Historic Clarion Town House Hotel, 1615 Gervais Street, in Downtown Columbia, S.C. When calling to reserve a room (803.771.8711) for the night, mention the Mining Association of South Carolina and the room rate will be $89.00.

    All members are invited to attend the festive event, with the reception beginning at 7:30 PM, followed by dinner at 8:00 PM.

    The Mining Association of South Carolina Holiday Dinner provides an excellent opportunity for member companies to include their employees in a celebration of the holiday season and a great way to network and meet others in the mining industry.
